Join Me The National Running Show

Hi all, I hope you are keeping well!

I have recently been invited to The National Running Show, which also means that I get a code to share with my readers that grants free access to the event (link available at the bottom of the post).

When And Where Is It?

This year The National Running Show takes place on Saturday 22nd January and Sunday 23rd January.

It takes place at the usual venue of the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham:

NEC

Bickenhill Parkway,

Birmingham,

B40 1QA

Previously, I have booked parking at the Crowne Plaza Hotel through Parkopedia. It worked out at £6.25 for all day parking instead of £12 for pre-paying at the NEC. You can pre-pay for parking online here which saves £4 (£12 instead of £16) as opposed to booking on the day. Please note, you still have to pay the same rate, even with a blue disabled badge.

What To Expect:

The National Running Show is the home for runners and attracts visitors from all over the United Kingdom. There are inspirational speakers, coaches, nutritionists, and massage specialists. As well as the on stage events and advice, there are also top running brands offering discounts on running shoes, cutting-edge technology, and any other running related product you could imagine! It is also a good chance to try samples of products, especially nutritional products.

For 2022, speakers include Jonnie Peacock MBE, Lord Sebastian Coe, Kadeena Cox, Derek Redmond, Iwan Thomas, Jenni Falconer and Susie Chan.

There will also be The Strength Zone, The Events Village, The Run Clinic, The Bra Fit Bar, The Recovery Zone, The All-Terrain Running Zone, Gait Analysis, The Treatment Room, The Kids Zone, and The Run Café.

Previous Years:

I have attended The National Running Show in 2019 and 2020. It usually falls on or around my birthday, so it has typically become a birthday treat! It has become an event that I really try to attend as I manage to get some bargains!

I think the highlight of my experience at The National Running Show so far is meeting Jo Pavey and getting a photo and autograph! She gave me some good advice and it was great to talk with other like-minded people. The whole atmosphere is just very friendly and filled with fellow running enthusiasts, whether that is people who are training for their first event, or experienced marathon runners!

Oh, and you also leave with some decent samples and freebies! What’s not to love?!
